ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are various entry points to meet ACCA entry requirements
depending on your age and previous academic qualifications and experience.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Students must be at least 18 years of age and meet at least one (1) of the criteria stated below:
- 2 passes at STPM (Grade E or above), plus 3 credit passes at SPM (Grade 6 or below) or
  Senior Middle Three including English and Mathematics.
- 2 A levels and 3 GCEs or equivalent in 5 separate subjects including English and Mathematics.
- LCCI Group Diploma and 3 credit passes at SPM (Grade 6 or below) or
  Senior Middle Three including English and Mathematics.
- City & Guilds Pitman Accounting Level 3 and Cost & Management Accounting Level 3 plus
  3 credit passes at SPM or Senior Middle Three including English & Mathematics.
Mature Student Entry Route (MSER)
- No academic qualifications required.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must pass the equivalent of papers F2, Management Accounting and F3, Financial Accounting
  within 2 years from the date of your first eligible ACCA examination. You will then be able to
  transfer to the main ACCA exams.
Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification
- Passed CAT intermediate level allows students to continue to ACCA knowledge module.
- However if students have passed CAT qualifications they can transfer direct to the skills module of the ACCA qualification by claiming exemption from the first three papers in the knowledge module.

Candidate has the option to choose to sit exams either through paper-based exams in June and December each year and the exam result will be known after two months OR
on-demand computer-based exam (CBE) anytime as you wish and the exam result will be known immediately after the exam is finished. Computer-based exam are currently available for papers F1 to F3.
For computer-based exams (CBE), candidates are allowed the flexibility of sitting up to four exams every six month session.
ACCA allows students 10 years time frame to pass all the papers.

OR
Complete the ACCA "initial Registration Form" and enclose the following supporting documents:
- A passport sized photograph.
- A photocopy of your Identity Card.
- Photocopies of all official transcripts, certificates.

(FiA)
 
INTRODUCTION
ACCA��s suite of entry-level awards-Foundations in Accountancy (FiA) is a revised Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification.

Foundations in Accountancy will provide even greater access to the ACCA Qualification and aims to satisfy the needs of employers by allowing individuals to choose from a flexible range of qualifications which will help them develop the relevant technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform in accounting technician roles.

As a professional accountancy body which champions innovation, ACCA��s Foundations in Accountancy will utilize the latest technologies in the delivery of this suite of awards.

The following principles have been adhered to when developing Foundations in Accountancy and ACCA will continue to follow these prInciples during the implementation phase.

Foundations in Accountancy:

Overview of Foundations in Accountancy
FiA consists of a suite of awards, including Certificates, Diplomas and a revised Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification. These flexible awards focus on the core skills of financial accounting and management accounting and the wider role of the accountant in business at higher levels.

The range of awards provides students with flexible entry points with certification awarded at each level, allowing students to tailor the awards, making them an attractive and relevant choice for employers.

There is a choice of sitting computer-based exam (online) i.e. CBE for Introductory, lntermediate & Diploma Levels anytime as the students/candidates wish and the exam results will be known immediately after the exam is finished. Alternately students / candidates can choose to sit for traditional paper-based (classroom style) exams and the exam results will be known only after 2 months.
Candidates are given completely free choice in the subject order & number of papers to be taken at each exam Session / sitting.
There is no time limit for completing the examination subjects, so the candidates/students can choose the way of studying which suits them best and qualify in their own time and at their own pace.
All examination passes will be retained and the students/candidates only re-sit those papers they failed.
